Our Madrid private tour in the literary neighborhood (Madrid de las Letras) will visit the places where the most Known writers in Spain . This was the place where they lived and were inspired : Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Quevedo and Góngora, plus many others.

Tour Description: This visit around the most literary and bohemian area of Madrid starts at Santa Ana Square, where the most ancient theatre in the city is, but originally not the only one in the neighborhood, as we will see in Ángel Square. Before taking Huertas Street, we’ll stop at Saint Sebastian Church and its disappeared graveyard, last home for some of some of the most notorious Madrilenians.
We’ll go on by Huertas Street towards the Palace of the Dukes of Santoña, with a long list of illustrious inhabitants. In the corner with León Street we’ll see the Royal Academy of History and we will continue towards Cervantes and Lope de Vega Streets, where both writers used to have their homes at where it is thought that Cervantes is still buried. We’ll go on towards the Church of Christ of Medinaceli and we will recall the enormous possessions the Duke of Lerma used to have in this area of the city, as well as we’ll see one of the most emblematic hotels in Madrid, Palace Hotel.
After visiting the Ateneo, we’ll finish our route in front of the Congress of Deputies, in Cortes Square.
